Pedagogical Laboratory of Sciences and Mathematics - UFPA Science Club

Description:

Featuring a variety of equipment, glassware and reagents that are used for practical classes and classroom research projects on Biology, Physics and Chemistry, this is a hands-on teaching lab where undergraduates experience the preparation of classes to be developed with students of basic education who are members of the Science Club. The students of this program will be able to integrate this formative context. Created in 1979 by Professor Terezinha Valim Oliver Gonçalves, the Laboratory has been the subject of research in several dissertations and theses developed by students of the Institute of Mathematical and Scientific Education (IEMCI) and other Academic Units of UFPA. It was also responsible for giving birth to the Pedagogical Nucleus for Supporting Scientific Development, which in 2004 was renamed the Research and Development Center for Mathematical and Scientific Education and, in 2009, as required by the UFPA Statute, became IEMCI at the time the Integrated Degree was created.
